The Family & Animation Monthly Film Festival is a curated, online film festival dedicated to family-friendly storytelling across live-action and animation. This festival is personally judged by the Wright family the filmmaking family behind Wright Family Films creators of multiple released family and genre films.

We exist because many filmmakers are tired of:
- Waiting a year for results
- Submitting to festivals where films are never truly watched
- Receiving generic or no feedback
- Filmmakers would like help and guidance extending past the festival
Our goal is simple: honest viewing, fair judging, and timely results. We also are here to help some selected projects improve and guide them to a path of success.
We accept family-friendly films and animation that are suitable for general audiences.
This includes:
Family short films
Family feature films
Animated shorts (family-safe)
Animated features (family-safe)
Student and youth-made family films
All submissions must be appropriate for family viewing.

Animation is welcome, but animation does not automatically qualify as family-friendly.

In addition to awards and laurels, select films may be considered for additional professional opportunities at the discretion of the judges. These opportunities are not guaranteed prizes, but potential next steps for films that strongly align with our family-friendly mission and audience.
1. Possible Distribution Consideration
- Selected films may be considered for:
- Family-friendly distribution conversations

- Evaluation for future projects or collaborations
All such consideration is handled by the Wright family, the independent filmmaking team behind Wright Family Films. Distribution is not guaranteed and depends on suitability, audience fit, and current opportunities.
2. Editing, Development & Creative Support (Selective)
At the judges’ discretion, standout films or filmmakers may be offered:
- Informal editing notes or story feedback
- Suggestions for tightening, pacing, or family-audience clarity
- Guidance on preparing a project for family platforms
- Advice on trailers, thumbnails, or presentation
These are offered selectively and are intended as supportive guidance, not contractual services.
3. Future Collaboration Consideration Exceptional filmmakers may also be:
- Invited to submit future projects directly
- Considered for collaboration on family-focused film or animation projects
- Notified of relevant opportunities as they arise. These opportunities are exploratory in nature and do not constitute employment, representation, or guaranteed collaboration.
“All additional opportunities are offered solely at the discretion of the judges. Submission to the festival does not guarantee distribution, editing services, or collaboration. The festival does not charge additional fees for consideration of these opportunities.”
